I have always been a creative (weird) person, but my love affair with photography started a short time after I got married. My wife and I put no importance on hiring our photographer because we were young and stupid. Needless to say, we ended up with a real stinker! Looking through those horrific photos, I knew that I was going to be a wedding photographer. I would make absolutely sure that no couple that ever hired me would experience that same pukey (is that a word?) feeling that I did. Today, my wife Kelly and I put client relationships first and always give everything we have to each one of them. Our hope is to deliver stunning images and an incredible experience throughout the process and maybe bust out some sick dance moves. So I guess you could say we are kind of like caped crusaders fighting against bad photography super-villains (minus the capes and awesome superhero costumes)!
My favorite things in life include being a dad, making cars faster, baseball, and spicy foods, in that order. I will work my butt off to make sure that we deliver a collection that blows your mind faster than a ghost pepper. I am a Swiss-Army knife of photographic skills - well-versed in wedding, event, and portrait photography. If I was forced at gunpoint to describe my style, I would probably get shot! I absolutely LOVE candid moments that happen on their own, but at the same time, a little bit of coaching can go a long way towards making everyone look their best. So...mostly a photo-journalistic approach, with a little bit of more "traditional" stuff mixed in to keep it spicy like Thai food.
Yummo . . .Thai Food . . . NOMNOMNOM! What were we talking about? Oh, Right!
As Nick found his creative outlet in photography and because he did, I was soon to follow. We absolutely love shooting weddings and understand the importance of what we do because of our experience with our own wedding photos.
My photography story did not exactly start as early as Nick’s. I started by joining Nick on a few jobs and assisting him because I simply missed him on weekends. As I worked with Nick on a few weddings I realized how much I loved it and how my view of things, that were happening around me, was changing. I decided to pick up a camera one wedding, and I have never put it down. Something about capturing such an important day, while having a blast with the person you love most in the world next to me, had me hooked! That and I loved making sure people did not get crappy photos like mine! I was also very lucky because shooting became second nature to me before I knew it.
I am a nosy person by nature and I always say the camera has given me an excuse to be this way without being creepy. Needless to say, my style is very much photo-journalistic. A previous client said I was like a ninja sniper with my camera and I could not have received a better compliment. As for the rest of my life, I love being a wife, mother, spreadsheets, being organized, a clean house, planning events, Reality TV and Pizza Hut. (Shhh, I come from an Italian family so don’t tell my Grandma)
The math is simple. Nick+Kelly=Great Team. We hope that we've offered a little peek into our family and that we haven't scared you too much! We look forward to getting to know you and yours. Thank you for considering us for your special occasion!
